Working at Viber provides the unique opportunity to influence hundreds of millions of people with our messaging app.We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team, which is focused on SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Developer enablement workloads!You will collaborate with the development, infrastructure (SRE), and architecture teams to work with the most cutting-edge cloud technologies on a massive scale. Your role will involve defining, maintaining, and supporting all aspects of Viber’s development lifecycle.We work in a hybrid home-office model! : )Our Scale:
  • Petabyte-sized datasets
  • Thousands of EC2/ECS/EKS instances
  • Serving hundreds of millions of users.
Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the implementation of DevOps best practices across the organization in partnership with Development and Architecture teams
  • Design, build, and enhance our infrastructure deployment and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Define and drive CI/CD practices, and build and maintain robust pipelines for our development teams
  • Develop and maintain essential tooling using a variety of technologies
  • Continuously improve the availability, scalability, observability, and cost-efficiency of our products
  • Support and maintain our extensive cloud-based infrastructure
  • Provide expert support to engineering teams on all things CI/CD.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in large-scale virtualized environments
  • Proven experience implementing the full DevOps lifecycle (CI, CD, Monitoring, Operations)
  • Deep expertise in managing AWS cloud environments and a wide range of its services (Compute, Billing, Monitoring, etc.)
  • Extensive Linux administration skills
  • Proficiency in scripting and coding (Bash, Groovy, Python, or similar)
  • Experience managing cloud resources using an IaC approach
  • Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture using Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, ArgoCD/Flux CD)
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPC, CDN, VPNs, etc.)
  • Experience with one or more observability and logging platforms (ELK, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana)
  • English B2+
Advantages:
  • Experience with AI tools (AmazonQ CLI, Cursor, Claude Code etc.)
  • Experience developing AI tools using AWS Bedrock, OpenAI Platform or similar.
